Elevating Seat Surface Height

Lower Your Injury Risk

with the Travrsa-LT Transport Wheelchair

There’s nothing more frustrating (or dangerous) than lifting a passenger from their tall bed onto a lower wheelchair. A stretcher makes things slightly more straightforward but comes with the risk of tipping over. The Travrsa-LT Transport Wheelchair makes these transitions smoother with its elevating seat surface feature.

How it Works

  1. Recline the wheelchair until it lies flat.
  2. Take off the removable arm support and upper lateral support closest to the bed
  3. Use the ergonomic foot pump to raise the wheelchair to the height of the bed.
  4. Slide the passenger from the bed onto the wheelchair. Use our optional rolling transfer board for an easier transition.

Avoid Injuries to Drivers & Passengers

Avoiding strain is especially important for passengers with muscle weakness, pressure injuries, osteoporosis, and other conditions that make them prone to injury. If the trip isn’t done carefully, the journey could cause additional injury to your passengers. The Travrsa-LT Transport Wheelchair helps NEMT businesses protect passengers from unnecessary injury and preserve their comfort.

Once the passenger is secured in the chair, replace the swing-away arm support and removable upper lateral support and adjust them to the passenger’s comfort. You’ll find that the Travrsa-LT Transport Wheelchair is much easier to use than a stretcher and offers comfort and dignity for your clients. With its unique design and features, the Travrsa-LT ensures that both patients and caregivers are safe during transfers from bed to chair or vice versa.
