Unlike a stretcher or gurney, the wheelchair is easy to maneuver and does not present a tip or fall hazard. It is easy to push, raise, and lower the wheelchair, reposition the occupant, and wheel the passenger onto a ramp or lift. With this equipment, a single operator can even eliminate much of the potential risk of transporting people with limited mobility.
